Yes it still works occasionally. There are a handful of us who put in an
appearance. I tried to gee it up a while ago by having a roll call. Some
replied but I think they must be out in the gardens getting some sun.
I have been more into genealogy than beadwork just lately.

I think I have more jewellery than anyone else in our village.
Nice to see you drop in.

I'm in Manassas, Virginia and it is raining again. I'm just watching the
water seep into the basement. Will never buy a house with a basement again!
I don't do too much jewelry any more, though I plan to get around to playing
with the faux bone plastic .
Right now I'm working on silk screening glass but having a devil of a time
making decisions.

Hi Connie!

I'm seed beading like mad, when I can, and loving every minute of it. Any
pictures of your silk screening? I have no idea what it is. I'd love to
see!

Hey there,
Don't have any photos yet. Silk screening is like what they do to put
pictures on T-shirts or some bottles. Simplified, it's like a wood frame
with tight fabric across it. A design is cut out of stencil or use light
sensitive emulsion. Then you force paint through the design template and
fabric onto the glass. Then I fire the glass in the kiln.

Today I was brave and took 5 sushi plates over to an small art gallery in a
tiny town and they took them on consignment right away. So - now I'm
finally in an art gallery.

Hi Connie,

it's working, just not as busy as it used to be.
You can find most of the lampworkers at Lampwork Etc.,
though not as active as they used to be here either (and,
yes, I have started lampwork, but I'm still very much a
newbie), but have seen posts from Kalera, Kandice, Dawn,
Tink, Starlia, and quite a few others on occasion.

You'd see more of me here if I was on vacation ...
(more time to do non-work stuff on a computer).

Aloha,
Maren
