That is simply gorgeous, with webtv viewing things does not always
happen, this I got it enlarged and it is so pretty. Now please tell me
about the pussy willow, does it stay intact, the pussy willow around
here would not. Are they an amethyst color, they look like they are and
the larger velvet seed, they look like they are a dark purple. So
pretty!!!!!

Thank you!

The Hawaiian pussy willow is a tree seed with a rather hard coat and
takes a Dremel to drill. After the first few I bought a Dremel drill
press,
and it makes the drilling much easier. I may still have some that I
bought
several years ago, but I think those went into jewelry by now.
They are gray and remain fuzzy for a long time for all I know. They
are not
as fuzzy as real pussy willows (I know those too), but fuzzy enough. I
only buy them from Hawaii (not imported), and I have a few trees in
the
ground now to grow my own. Until my trees bear I buy them mostly from
the Kona side of the Big Island (the island I'm on), but have bought
them
from Oahu before too.

I think they match the amethyst very well but I have used them with
pretty much any color. Tina (where is Tina?! - probably got other
things to do, it's
a short summer in Alaska) remarked that Swarovski crystals go well
with
them, like the stars in the night time sky. I have only recently
started
putting them with anything else. I'm glad you like it, I hope other
people
do too.

Thanks!

You people are making my day ...

Dwyn: they're fuzzy, and for all I know they stay that way.

From the comments I'm getting I'll have to do that more often :)

Maren
